It’s 3 am and there’s a devil in my backyard
He gotta head full of lightning and a mouth full of thunder
It’s 3 am and the devil’s calling out my name
He gotta hot fingerprint pressed against the melting window pane
Let me in!
Go away, devilman
Stay away, devilman
Please, let me in!
Go away, devilman
Stay away, devilman
It’s 3 am and there’s an angel knocking at my door
And he goes by the dandy name “Gabriel”
He gotta big shiny grin wrapped in lips full of death
He wanna tongue and suck away my very last fucking breath
Just let me in!
Go away, devilman
Stay away, devilman
Please, let me in!
Go away, devilman
Stay away, devilman
Let me in!
Well I called my buddy Billy Blake, and he told me just what to do
To be your own man, he said, you gotta be a monster too
Don’t chase them away, god knows it don’t work
Invite them all in for a nefarious circle jerk
Please! Let us in!
Go away, devilman
Stay away, devilman
Let us in!
Don’t you know you want it too?

This might be my favourite of Heilung. They've improved a bit on their later releases but their debut is still much meaner, and darker. Maria's amazing voice obviously steals the show but I also quite like Kai's too, especially on the live performance. In fact I'd say get LIFA over this IMO.
The spoken word bits are really cool to hear proto-germanic in use but for relistening purposes they are going to be a bit obtrusive. Nevertheless the proper music here is on continual repeat for me. Rabbit
It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
An epic dark rock record that will make fans of Sisters of Mercy swoon—massive chords and choruses, plus gothic grandeur. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 16, 2020
It's hard to pick a favourite track. This is the only album i have so far deemed as "perfect", where every track, even the intro, is just a masterpiece in its own right. From the hard hitting Perturbator's Theme to the emotional title track, its 68 minutes of perfection. 10/10. connivingkhajiit
